Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Structural Dynamics, Acoustics and Vibration Engineer to join the Acoustics and Vibration team in Getafe (Spain), belonging to the Centre of Competence Flight Physics (Military Aircraft Engineering). You will participate in the development of Airbus DS aircraft programs, including A400M, A330-MRTT, C295, Eurofighter, FCAS, etc., from preliminary design to certification and qualification. Your work will typically involve simulation/analysis, as well as occasional direct participation in test campaigns. Our diverse type of projects will require you to interface with multiple other disciplines in Flight Physics, Aircraft Systems, Airframe and Flight Test.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and support competitive, innovative, mature and safe air vehicles, fulfilling regulatory requirements, customer expectations and business challenges related to noise and vibration
Develop and validate numerical models in relation with noise generation, propagation and transmission, as well as structural dynamic response to acoustic and vibratory loads
Develop passive and active noise and vibration control solutions for existing and future aircraft
Define, perform and evaluate acoustic and vibration tests: in flight, on ground and in laboratory
Support the qualification of aircraft systems to mechanical environments, including vibration, shocks and acoustics. Define mechanical requirements for system installation on aircraft. Evaluate experimental evidence based on qualification tests
Evaluate human exposure to noise and vibration levels in accordance with international standards
Contribute to troubleshooting activities in relation to acoustic and vibration events in prototype and service aircraft
Requirements:
Aeronautical or Industrial engineering (with mechanical specialization) with a strong academic record
Advanced level of English
Python / Matlab programming experience
Passion for quality work, minimizing errors
High interest on technical aspects
Nice to have:
Experience in testing
Master degree
