Job Description:

A Structural Drafter/Designer responsible for reading plans and working with the Engineers to complete a project, which includes, setting up sheets, laying out building plans or elevations, and cutting sections so that the Engineers can design the project in timely manner.

Job Responsibility:

  • Report to the drafting Manager or the Senior Engineer and will be responsible for carrying out tasks that are delegated in a timely and professional manner
  • Reading plans and working with the Engineers to complete a project, which includes, setting up sheets, laying out building plans or elevations, and cutting sections so that the Engineers can design the project in timely manner
  • Assist the Engineers in any way possible for the project to be completed in the time frame given by our clients

Requirements:

  • AutoCAD
  • Revit
  • 3+ years drafting experience, emphasis on structural in the vertical construction field
  • The ability to read plans and look at sections given to us by our clients
  • The ability to draft from the plans and sections to show the structural elements required to make the building be structurally sound
  • The ability to communicate and understand what is required of you for each project
  • To be flexible and work on multiple jobs at the same time
