Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Structural Designer to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in creating innovative and visually striking display structures that highlight our creative capabilities. This role requires a collaborative mindset and a strong background in structural design, particularly within the display design industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop creative and functional structural designs for displays, ensuring alignment with marketing goals and brand identity
  • Collaborate with teams across marketing, sales, and manufacturing to gather project requirements and deliver tailored design solutions
  • Utilize design software like ArtiosCAD to produce detailed renderings, prototypes, and mock-ups for internal and client presentations
  • Create precise technical specifications and assembly instructions to guide manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Evaluate material options and construction methods to identify the best solutions for each project
  • Work with external vendors and suppliers to source quality materials while adhering to budget constraints
  • Support the production team during manufacturing by providing detailed guidance to ensure design accuracy
  • Conduct quality checks on prototypes and final products to confirm compliance with design and functional standards
  • Maintain organized documentation of project files, specifications, and related communications
  • Stay informed on industry trends and integrate innovative practices into design projects

Requirements:

  • 2 plus years of experience in structural design, with a focus on display design
  • Proficiency in design software, particularly ArtiosCAD, for creating detailed renderings and prototypes
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Ability to develop precise technical specifications and assembly guidelines
  • Knowledge of materials and construction techniques suitable for display projects
  • Experience in quality control processes to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic standards
  • Familiarity with sourcing materials and managing vendor relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain comprehensive project documentation
