Job Description:

You will be joining one of six teams/sections (located in Berlin, Essen, Erfurt or Mannheim) belonging to the Water Service Area in Germany managed by Ralf Janyga (Net sale over €10 million). This Unit has currently approximetly 85 employees including some who are already located in Poland and looking for further growth. Main focus for this group are projects related to wastewater treatment plants.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design of buildings like tanks basins pumping stations as facilities for wastewater treatment plant (Buildings mostly designed with reinforced concrete)
  • Size of tanks given by the process engineer
  • afterwards responsible design work and information collection from machinery and electrotechnis as well as from HVAC to design a facility that fist to the process and to common rules of design in wastewater treatment (for example German DWA)
  • The design process follows several stages according to German HOAI (Grundlagenermittlung, Vorplanung, Entwurf, Genehmigung, Ausführungsplanung, Vorbereitung der Vergabe, Mitwirkung bei der Vergab)
  • Design of the concrete building in cooperation with BIM Modelers
  • Regular reporting to Project Managers

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and 1-2 years experience in design of wastewater treatment plants or similar structures for tanks, pumps etc.
  • Basic understanding of processes on a wastewater treatment plant (mechanical cleaning, biological cleaning, chemical cleaning, sludge treatment)
  • Team player (collects information for design from mechanical and electrical engineers)
  • Good English skills at B2-C1 level
  • Good Excel skills
  • Good Word skills (working on reports with structured headers and text)
  • Teams skills (incl. transcription video recording)

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of German HOAI standard
  • Good overview on disciplines of design on a wastewater treatment plant (process, machinery, automatization, HVAC)
  • Experience in German projects
  • 5-7 years experience in wastewater treatment plants design
  • Very good English skills at C1-C2 level
  • CAD 3D skills
  • Plant 3D skills
  • Knowledge of software for structural calculations
