Requirements
University degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (or related field)
Strong analytical and programming skills (Matlab, Python, R)
Working knowledge of Building Design Standards
Knowledge of vulnerability assessment methods and tools to develop damage/vulnerability curves
Understanding of statistical data analysis methods
Strong presentation and communication skills
Ability to simplify complex concepts
Nice to have
Comfortable applying probability and statistics to real structural engineering problems
Exposure to hail and wind engineering
Research background and experience building or enhancing catastrophe models for the insurance industry
Happy writing simple SQL queries to work with data
