Job Description:

We are seeking a Structural Area Sales Manager to cover the Midlands region, ideally based in or around Birmingham or Coventry. In this role, you will strengthen and grow business relationships through proactive customer engagement, enhancing the company’s visibility and driving sales across our full range of structural products. You will be responsible for developing key relationships with sub-contractors, distributors, and builders’ merchants, while collaborating closely with internal teams to manage projects and opportunities throughout the supply chain.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the identification of all customers/potential customers, markets and product applications within area of ownership
  • Initiate, develop and manage sales activities within the geographical area to support business objectives
  • Responsible for customer communication to maximise business relationships and ensure maximum favourable exposure of the company, its products and services
  • Accountable for maximising conversion to order as a result of proactive response to project management, customer contact, enquiries, tenders and requests to quote
  • Responsible for feeding-back marketing information concerning competition, customers etc. with respect to project specifications, pricing, distribution, and delivery
  • Responsible for providing to customers professional technical advice and support, services, site visit and training to develop augmented product and improve market share
  • Accountable for the formulation of area sales strategy, annual business plans
  • Defend specifications
  • Undertake CPD presentations at contractors and distributors
  • Strengthen and grow business relationships through proactive customer engagement, enhancing the company’s visibility and driving sales across our full range of structural products
  • Developing key relationships with sub-contractors, distributors, and builders’ merchants

Requirements:

  • Proven Sales and Account Development experience
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual
  • Proven ability to exceed targets
  • Ability to be a good team player, have an out-going, adaptable personality
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Able to travel and work away from home
  • Presentation skills
  • Reside in the Midlands (ideally in Birmingham or Coventry areas)
  • Good level of education
  • Proven experience in external area sales management
  • Confident using CRM systems
  • Ideally possess project management experience
  • Comfortable delivering CPD sessions
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to building lasting partnerships
