Boeing Global Services (BGS) – Structures Stress Team is seeking a broad range of experience levels including Experienced, Lead and Senior Level Structural Analysis Engineers with adept knowledge of stress analysis methods, engineering principles, certification, and collaboration skills. The primary position location is the Long Beach, CA Design Center. This requisition is hiring stress analysis for airplane production & airplane post-production modifications. Job Responsibility
Performing detailed structural analysis to determine structural integrity using classical techniques and Boeing tools
Providing guidance on structural design and configuration development
Create trade studies to optimize the structure and meet program requirements
Work with the team to integrate component-level structural models and perform integrated analysis using finite element methods
Document structural analyses and data required to show compliance with Boeing, customer, and regulatory requirements
Participate in the resolution of technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer
The ability to support regular and emergent domestic or international travel to support our customers
May be asked to support other programs as needed
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
3+ years of experience with Stress Analysis/Structural Analysis
3+ years of experience with classical hand analysis and FEA software experience
1+ years of experience with Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis
Willing & able to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally
Nice to have
5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience
10+ years of higher education and/or related work experience
Experience with Boeing tools, processes, and procedures
2+ years leading and mentoring structural analyst team members while engaging with cross-functional stakeholders
2+ years engaged in 787 primary structural analysis
