MAIN ACTIVITIES: Stress analysis of metallic, composite & hybrid structures, using Airbus Defence & Space methods, potentially from concept and structural development to certification and in-service maintenance. Sizing of the structural components, parts and assemblies from static point of view. Analyse and validate at component level for static strength and produce relevant strength margins or reserve factors according to validated and applicable Airbus methods & sizing processes. Perform detailed analysis in CAD/CAM or (software) implementation on component/ equipment/ mechanical/ software level to the specifications required. Continuous support/interaction with design and multifunctional teams during design process. Understand the overall stress environment for a system/ sub-system/ components/ equipment architecture, for analysis/testing to provide verification and validation. Supply outputs to support planning, organization and execution of testing, verification and validation. Provide stress analyses for the repair/acceptance of damaged structures. Understand and integrate technologies in the domain of metallic and composite materials.
Job Responsibility:
Stress analysis of structural parts, components and installations as well as integration of systems and equipment
Structural mechanics support to our products for the complete life cycle from concept phase to qualification and in-service support
Stress analysis by means of FEM techniques (preparation, validation and assessment of results) and application of traditional stress justification methods and tools
Definition of interfaces, functional and worst case analysis, trend and sensitivity analysis
Preparation of analysis reports and statements to support flight clearance and certification
Assessment of damages and development of repairs, generation of repair instructions and definition and analysis of structural changes
Assistance and local support to manufacturing and assembly lines and evaluation of concessions and deviations
