Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in lighting design and be capable of delivering designs for a variety of schemes, including private developments, S38 new housing projects, and local authority highway lighting upgrades or removals.

Job Responsibility:

Liaise with developers to determine project scope and provide quotations for design work
Create lighting designs using Lighting Reality, DIALux, Relux, and AutoCAD
Generate cable calculations and schematic diagrams using Amtech or similar tools
Coordinate with Local Authorities for lighting assessments and design approvals
Understand DNO/IDNO LV networks to determine column power supplies
Advise clients on existing lighting issues

Requirements:

ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma (Modules 1–4)
Fully conversant with BS:5489 (Road Lighting Code of Practice)
Proficient in AutoCAD and ability to read and interpret working drawings
Familiarity with G39 – Working near DNO equipment
BS7671 18th Edition wiring regulations (preferred)
ILP Membership (current)
