The EMEA Strategy & Transformation Deployment Portfolio Director leads portfolio management process excellence to improve the effectiveness and consistency of functional and Operating Unit (OU) portfolio practices. This role reports to EMEA & IB Portfolio Management Senior Director. The EMEA Portfolio Management team drives strategic portfolio and planning activities—including PSP and annual operating planning—shaping sector demand in alignment with the PepsiCo Digital Strategy while governing the digital portfolio to maximize the value S&T Deployment delivers to PepsiCo. This role designs and continuously improves portfolio management services, including value realization, the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for investments, and the processes for building and refreshing multi-year digital roadmaps. The Portfolio Director designs and facilitates executive forums with senior stakeholders, including Regional Digital Councils and Regional Portfolio Reviews, and serves as the EMEA regional PMO lead with functional oversight of regional project managers. The Portfolio Director liaises with Finance and the Global PMO to strengthen portfolio governance, enable consistent global-to-local delivery, and drive standardization across the region. Additionally, this role serves as Chief of Staff to the EMEA Deployment and IB SVP. As Chief of Staff to the EMEA Deployment and IB SVP, this role helps set and track EMEA IB S&T objectives, streamlines leadership team ways of working, runs team governance, manages LT meetings, coordinates key forums and events (including face-to-face sessions and All-Hands), and supports day-to-day operations and overall governance.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the regional center of excellence for portfolio management by designing and continuously improving portfolio management services and processes
Design and orchestrate the process for development of multi-year digital roadmaps aligned to digital and sector strategy
Partner with Finance to develop and run the sector digital Annual Operating Plan (AOP) investment planning process
Drive portfolio value realization in partnership with regional and global deployment, transformation and portfolio management teams
Design and lead regular regional portfolio reviews
assess performance and risks, track actions and recommend actions to ensure portfolio outcomes
Lead end-to-end demand management process design for local demand, partnering with the global Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) team to ensure seamless design and execution of global demand workflows
Ensure standardization and consistent ways of working across regional project managers, driving compliance and delivery excellence
partner with the Global PMO to strengthen portfolio governance
As Chief of Staff to SVP, set and track EMEA and IB S&T objectives, run leadership team governance, coordinate key forums and events, and support day-to-day operations, executive reporting
Requirements:
Bachelors degree required
10+ years of IT project and program management experience, with strong knowledge of project management methodologies
3+ years of digital portfolio management experience, with the ability to manage multiple complex priorities and deliver to deadlines
Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and develop high-quality executive presentations
Proven ability to influence and build consensus in a matrixed organization
strong written and verbal communication skills
People leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development
Strong understanding of financial planning for multi-year strategic initiatives, including business cases, ROI analysis, and value realization
Strong financial management skills with proven ability to build, manage, and forecast annual budgets
Experience with portfolio performance metrics, implementation frameworks, and delivery methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Lean Six Sigma). Relevant project/portfolio/product management certifications preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant project/portfolio tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, Power BI)
