The Strategy Senior Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
Job Responsibility
Work within the strategy function, supporting the development and implementation of strategies to grow the business. Analyze and assess implications for the business, and conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess new opportunities, investments, and partnership projects
Deliver regular global and country level competitive intelligence analysis
Follow emerging industry trends and potential disrupters to segments and strategy
Deliver specific ad-hoc analysis and tactical support in preparation for business and management meetings
Demonstrate a significant grasp of the organization, the business, and the markets to deliver crisp and succinct executive-level responses
Grasp key priorities and complex issues quickly for the larger organization and create clear written presentations/communications
Document findings of study and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes
Interview personnel and conduct on-site observation to ascertain unit functions, work performed, and methods, equipment, and personnel used
Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding
Plan study of work problems and procedures, such as organizational change, communications, information flow, integrated production methods, inventory control, or cost analysis
Confer with personnel concerned to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures
Performs other duties and functions as assigned
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Requirements
10+ years experience in Financial Services
Project planning and management experience
Prior Consulting experience
Understands consumer financial services businesses and operating model
Proven strategic thinking and analytic skills coupled with financial acumen
Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals and drive results with a high sense of urgency
Able to translate data and metrics from across different constituencies in order to create clear and concise executive presentation materials
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Able to create support across a wide range of stakeholders through well-developed interpersonal and influencing capabilities
