We’re looking for a Strategy Senior Analyst to join our Institutional Retirement division, to support high‑impact strategic initiatives across the business and the wider L&G Group. Working within our Corporate Development function, you’ll contribute to shaping our global commercial strategy, supporting decision‑making, assessing growth opportunities and helping evolve our investment approach. Job Responsibility:
Supporting the development and optimisation of our global commercial strategy working closely with Pricing, Investments, Reinsurance and Business Partnering teams
Contributing to the successful delivery of key strategic projects by carrying out essential research analysis and taking ownership of significant elements of projects and processes
Assisting Strategy Directors and other senior leaders with BAU strategic activity, including the execution of major divisional transactions as well as managing and communicating our commercial strategy
Working collaboratively across the L&G Group to optimise the balance sheet from a capital and liquidity perspective
Conducting competitor analysis and gathering insights to inform divisional decision‑making
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the division and wider Group to enable effective collaboration and awareness of evolving opportunities and pain points
Facilitating communication between internal teams and external partners to support delivery of projects and solutions
Embedding Conduct Risk principles into daily operations to ensure good customer outcomes
Ensuring business processes and internal controls support effective risk management and positive customer outcomes
Requirements:
Strong quantitative skills, with significant progress towards or completion of an actuarial qualification, CFA or equivalent
Understanding of insurance balance sheets, capital and profit reporting, and ALM principles
Knowledge of Solvency II and ideally an awareness of US or Bermudian regulatory frameworks
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a range of audiences
Experience or awareness of the PRT market in the UK and/or US
Ability to apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to delivery
Ability to manage expectations effectively and keep stakeholders well informed
An independent thinker who can confidently debate ideas constructively, when required
