The Growth team is part of the New Verticals Strategy & Operations team and reports into the Director of Growth, Strategy & Operations (New Verticals). We are responsible for shaping the strategy to drive growth and win in the highly competitive on-demand grocery and retail market. Our work is project-based and growth-focused. Starting from key strategic questions, we use data and analysis to drive the right decisions before supporting execution with cross-functional teams. In addition, the team owns performance management for New Verticals, including target-setting, goals and OKRs, and regular performance reporting through weekly and monthly business reviews. As such, the team offers a strong balance between high-impact strategic problem solving and seeing the real-world impact of your work. The culture within the New Verticals team is informal, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial. Given the growth of the business and exposure to senior stakeholders, progression in the team can be fast.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the definition and execution of strategy to drive growth across the New Verticals business
Partnering with business leads on strategic projects focused on unlocking growth, from problem definition through to delivery
Conducting quantitative analysis and modelling to support decision-making and prioritisation
Working cross-functionally to help operationalise new initiatives and support execution in a rapidly evolving environment
Supporting New Verticals performance management across annual planning, weekly and monthly business reviews, and trading updates
Contributing to the goal-setting and OKRs process by defining targets and tracking P&L performance against plan
Requirements:
2-4 years experience in management consulting, finance, or at a market-leading organisation
experience in e-commerce, grocery, or a customer-obsessed business is a plus
Strong problem solving skills involving identifying the root causes of problems, assessing risks and impacts, and determining effective solutions
Highly analytical mindset with strong modelling skills, and the ability to break down large data sets and turn them into actionable insights
Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working inside complex, matrixed organisations
Strong communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively at all levels of the organisation
London-based with a minimum of three days required in the office
Nice to have:
experience in e-commerce, grocery, or a customer-obsessed business is a plus
