As Strategy Manager, you will lead and support high-priority strategic initiatives across the company, reporting to the Head of Strategy and working closely with Executive Leadership. Your work will span corporate strategy, portfolio and R&D priorities, strategic planning, opportunity assessment, and external narrative development. This is a role for someone who enjoys moving between big picture strategic questions and detailed scientific or business analysis. You will work across disciplines and functions to help ensure that strategic decisions are rigorous, well-informed, and actionable.
Job Responsibility:
Lead strategic analyses and projects across Gubra Biotech, Ventures, and CRO
Translate complex scientific findings, portfolio questions, and business inputs into clear strategic implications and decision-ready recommendations
Prepare analyses and presentations for Executive Management and the Board of Directors
Support the assessment of new technologies, partnerships, and other strategic opportunities
Help shape elements of Gubra’s external strategic narrative for investors, partners, and other key stakeholders
Conduct competitive intelligence and landscape analyses to inform strategic decisions, portfolio choices, and external positioning
Contribute to strengthening strategic processes, governance, and decision support as the company continues to scale
Requirements:
Educational background in life sciences, biotechnology, medicine, or a related field
a PhD or equivalent experience is an advantage
Experience from a strategy-focused role, such as management consulting, internal strategy, corporate development, transaction advisory, or a related role in life sciences
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
Ability to engage deeply with scientific data and biological rationale, while keeping sight of strategic and commercial implications
Excellent communication skills and the ability to synthesise complexity into concise, high-quality materials for senior decision makers
A high level of ownership, reliability, and follow-through
A collaborative mindset and confidence working across functions and seniority levels
Comfort operating in a dynamic environment where priorities can evolve quickly
