This role leads the company’s global OSAT strategy, serving as the primary owner of supplier engagement and performance worldwide. You will define and execute a comprehensive global procurement strategy, driving a long‑term, integrated approach to cost, quality, and service through supplier development programs. The position focuses on building and managing strategic supplier partnerships while providing analytical insight and recommendations on sourcing strategy, requirements planning, and revenue opportunities. You will work cross‑functionally and across sites to align business processes and ensure efficient execution of operational purchasing (PO) activities, enabling consistent and scalable global operations.
Job Responsibility:
Work with stakeholder to understand and set cost targets for managed categories
Lead competitive bid process & analysis, price negotiation, cost reduction and business awards for the category with key suppliers
Manage supplier's performance to contractual requirements which meet AMD short and long term needs
Implement contracts to minimize AMD risk and enable supplier accountability for non performance
Lead Supplier Performance Management (SPM) with key suppliers and manage the quarterly scorecard to review service level on cost, technology, quality, service, and flexibility
Develop category strategy which fully reflects requirements of the stakeholders
Update on a regular basis to track progress against plan
Understand industry trends through on-going market research and benchmarking
Execute all activities associated with Procure-to-Pay such that orders are issued and invoiced in a timely manner
Demonstrate efficient and effective use of AMD strategic sourcing and Procure-to-Pay processes
Communicate effectively with key stakeholders on all levels
Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise
Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel as a team lead
Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of purchasing

Consistently meets all aspects of Strategic Sourcing Manager role including cost analysis, negotiation and long term planning
Specific education or experience in SCM preferred
