The Strategic Sourcing team is part of Airbnb’s Global Procurement organization and plays a key role in enabling Airbnb to operate efficiently and scale sustainably. We partner closely with internal stakeholders to design and deliver sourcing strategies that align with Airbnb’s business priorities while driving innovation, value, and stakeholder success. Job Responsibility:

  • Partner with CIO leadership and technology teams to understand platform needs, business requirements, and technology roadmaps
  • Develop sourcing strategies across enterprise SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, data platforms, security technologies, and workplace systems
  • Lead complex sourcing events including supplier discovery, RFPs, negotiations, and contract execution
  • Evaluate supplier proposals, pricing models, and long-term cost structures
  • Partner with Legal and Finance to structure scalable commercial terms and risk protections
  • Use AI-enabled tools and structured analysis to compare supplier proposals and generate negotiation insights
  • Develop category strategies that improve cost efficiency, supplier innovation, and long-term platform scalability
  • Simplify sourcing processes and improve decision frameworks used by technology stakeholders
  • Build strong partnerships with technology leaders to ensure sourcing is embedded early in platform investment decisions
  • Contribute to building repeatable sourcing knowledge frameworks that improve how decisions are made across the organization

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, consulting, vendor management, or technology strategy roles
  • Experience sourcing enterprise software, SaaS platforms, IT services, or technology vendors
  • Strong commercial negotiation experience with enterprise technology suppliers
  • Ability to translate business requirements into structured sourcing strategies
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with financial models, supplier comparisons, and contract structures
  • Experience using data, automation, or AI tools to support decision-making
