We’re looking for individuals that want to be on the ground floor of breakthrough technologies and help build a world-class sourcing team. As a Strategic Sourcing Manager (SSM), you will be responsible for developing the key strategic relationships and sourcing strategies for camera, depth, and optics modules and their critical components. You will lead commercial negotiations, part/module costing (BOM and conversion), and end-to-end supply chain management. This role depends on close collaboration with Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Camera/Depth Systems teams, Program Management, Quality, and Supplier development Engineers. During the product development process, you are responsible for ensuring suppliers are prepared to support delivery of modules and key parts on-time at specified quality, reliability, yield, and performance parameters, and are prepared to meet ramp quantities. It is the SSM’s primary objective to ensure suppliers meet or exceed commercial and technical requirements throughout the life-cycle of the product(s).
Job Responsibility:
Help support the development of commodity/category sourcing strategies for Camera, Depth, and Optics modules
Act as subject matter expert in module integration supply chains (camera/depth modules)
Continually benchmark the industry to monitor technology trends
Lead supplier selection criteria, evaluate alternative suppliers, manage RFQs, and drive final supplier selection
Drive end-to-end module commercial ownership
Formulate contingency plans to de-risk technical challenges, long lead times, single-source dependencies, cost challenges, and any supply issues
Institute checks and balances to optimize schedule flexibility while minimizing excess inventory exposure
Partner with CMs/ODMs/EMS and module integrators to resolve part shortages, quality issues, or yield excursions
Drive rapid containment and recovery plans
Own ramp readiness including risk buys, capacity bring-up, line qualification, and supply assurance plans
Lead supplier development agreements to onboard new module integrators and key optical component suppliers
Ensure qualification plans are agreed and executed
Close Statements of Work (SOW) for new projects
Influence supplier technology roadmaps and create internal disruptive value-add
Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships at the executive level
Lead QBRs, escalation paths, and long-term partnership planning
Requirements:
BS degree
7+ years of work experience in sourcing or related fields associated with camera/depth modules, optics components, consumer electronics modules, or adjacent electromechanical supply chains
