Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Strategic Price Setting to join our team at NAPA Auto Parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pricing strategy, with specific experience in B2B environments, ideally within the automotive aftermarket or similar distribution sector. However, B2C experience is also applicable. Drawing from your expertise, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our pricing structure to drive category profitability and competitive advantage across our multi-channel distribution network.

Job Responsibility

  • Price Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop pricing strategies tailored to our B2B customers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging/declining technologies
  • Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership based on data-driven insights and market-based intelligence
  • Pricing Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify pricing trends, competitor strategies, and opportunities for differentiation within the B2B landscape
  • Utilize pricing analytics and tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik to optimize pricing across our product portfolio, maximizing revenue and margin potential
  • Price Implementation: Oversee the execution of pricing changes, ensuring accuracy and timely implementation to meet the needs of our business customers
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate pricing performance metrics using BI tools and impact tracking dashboards oriented around KPIs, making data-driven recommendations for adjustments to enhance profitability
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate relationships with category management, procurement, supply chain, IT, sales, and field teams to ensure alignment and execution of pricing strategies across all channels
  • Price Management Software Experience: Experience with price management software such as PROS, Vendavo, or PriceFX
  • This will extend to influencing the design and implementation of advanced pricing models and methodologies in pricing software

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing management, preferably within the automotive aftermarket or similar B2B distribution industry
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies in B2B settings
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights
