We are seeking a senior Strategic Planning Consultant to provide high-level professional and technical ICT services within the Department of Defence. In this role, you will play a critical part in a major capability transformation program, supporting the alignment of organizational demand, structure, and future strategies. You will represent organizational interests in technical forums while delivering Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice to Defence leadership across program management, capability development, and long-term planning activities.
Job Responsibility
Lead and shape the future planning of upcoming projects, requirements, and long-term capability strategies
Facilitate the implementation of enterprise strategies through dedicated implementation plans and strategic working groups
Drive the ongoing alignment and coordination of activities across service management ways of working, target ICT operating models, and network sustainment plans
Engage closely with diverse Defence stakeholders to ensure national and international strategy developments are captured and leadership is updated on progress
Cohere strategic inputs and outputs from a variety of local and international forums to directly inform broader organizational developments
Requirements
Australian Citizen with an active NV1 clearance
Minimum active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance
Relevant certifications, qualifications, and proven experience in ICT strategic planning and future capability mapping
Strong understanding of Data-Centric Security, Zero Trust frameworks, architectures, and standards
Demonstrated ability to engage directly with national and international stakeholders to lead and contribute to the production of complex strategic artifacts
