Job Description:

Uber is looking for a Strategic Operations Manager to join our Germany Country Team, a group dedicated to shaping the future of mobility in one of our most critical "Star" markets. In this role, you won't just be managing spreadsheets; you’ll be on the front lines of innovation. You will identify the next "big bets" for growth, manage high-profile relationships with iconic German venues (like the Uber Arena), and bridge the gap between abstract strategy and on-the-ground execution. This is a cross-functional powerhouse role where you’ll collaborate with Product, Marketing, and City Ops to ensure that every rider and driver experience is seamless, whether they are leaving a sold-out stadium or discovering a new Uber product for the first time.

Job Responsibility:

  • Fuel Growth Bets: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of new product initiatives. You’ll translate market insights into actionable strategies, moving from ideation to launch and scaling high-impact opportunities that hit revenue targets.
  • Elevate Venues: Manage senior-level relationships with stadiums and event locations. You’ll lead commercial negotiations and then roll up your sleeves to design physical pickup zones, signage, and wayfinding to optimize rider/driver flow.
  • Operationalize Partnerships: Design and launch consumer-facing campaigns that turn brand partnerships into measurable demand. You’ll build the "playbooks" that allow these partnerships to scale across the country.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Define the KPIs that matter. You will track performance metrics conversion, reliability, and ROI and continuously iterate to improve the experience.
  • Collaborate across the "Forest & Trees": Balance high-level strategic planning with the nitty-gritty of daily operations. You’ll work with leadership to set the direction for Germany while ensuring standard operating procedures are flawless.

Requirements:

  • Project Management Mastery: Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects. You can turn ambiguous requirements into structured, scalable processes.
  • Operational Rigor: You have a "get it done" mindset and are comfortable translating strategy into detailed execution plans with clear outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage external partners and internal teams with diverse perspectives.
  • Language: Business-level fluency in German (B2) and English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience: 3+ years in technology, management consulting, or high-growth operational environments.
  • Analytical Depth: Strong data skills. You are comfortable using data to derive recommendations and aren't afraid to dive into the details.
  • Technical Aptitude: Experience with SQL is a major plus.
  • Strategic Agility: The ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment while keeping the "big picture" in mind.
