At Marston Holdings, we deliver innovative transportation, technology, and enforcement solutions that support public sector clients across the UK and internationally. Following significant private equity investment, we are continuing to grow our technology led services and are seeking a Strategic Operations Director to play a pivotal leadership role within our Transportation division. Reporting directly to the Transportation Managing Director, this role sits on both the Transportation Leadership Team and the Group Senior Leadership Team, offering significant influence in shaping operational strategy, client partnerships, and commercial growth.
Job Responsibility:
Driving revenue growth and EBITDA performance through effective contract delivery and strategic sales development
Leading major contracts, including CPE & TfL, ensuring delivery against financial and non-financial objectives
Holding full P&L responsibility for contracts within your region or business unit, optimising financial performance through effective cost management and resource allocation
Supporting new business growth through cross selling Group services across Consulting, Technology, Transportation, BPO, and debt recovery
Working closely with Strategic Account Directors, Managers, and New Business teams to expand the Transportation portfolio
Building trusted executive level client relationships to support retention, growth, and long term partnerships
Contributing to bid development and complex tender submissions
Supporting implementation of the Transportation division’s growth strategy and development of innovative service solutions aligned to market needs
Ensuring contractual performance consistently meets or exceeds client expectations
Representing Marston Holdings at industry events, conferences, and external engagements
Monitoring competitor activity and market opportunities to inform strategic direction
Requirements:
Significant senior leadership experience within a regional, multi-site operational environment
Strong understanding of Local and Central Government operations and procurement environments
Proven commercial leadership with P&L responsibility
Demonstrated success delivering operational performance and business growth
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior public sector clients
Experience contributing to complex bids and strategic business development
Nice to have:
Experience within transportation, enforcement, technology services, or regulated environments
Strong industry network and professional association engagement
