Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support our Cedar Rapids, Iowa hub. The role will report directly to the Business Area Director, HR - Precision Strike. This position plays a strategic role in driving organizational success by developing and executing people strategies that align with the business objectives. This role requires a strategic and creative thinker who can partner with business leaders to promote a high-performance culture that inspires employee engagement and drives performance excellence.

Job Responsibility

  • Advance talent management maturity through succession planning, talent development, retention, and workforce planning
  • Ensure competitive compensation and reward practices through annual compensation planning and pay competitiveness analysis
  • Foster high-performance teams, optimizing organizational design, and promoting culture adoption to drive organizational effectiveness
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders
  • Analyze data to access organizational health, identifying risks, and driving actions to mitigate them

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6+ years of relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 12+ years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%
  • Experience in an HR Business Partner role supporting an organization with a population of 500+ employees
  • Experience serving as a coach to senior leaders for their organization on HR matters relating to organizational strategies and business imperatives
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization
  • Ability to adapt and lead change, build trusted relationships, and influence
  • Understanding of HR fundamentals (talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, employee and labor relations, people and culture, organizational change, learning and development, and organization effectiveness)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
