BAE Systems is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support our Cedar Rapids, Iowa hub. The role will report directly to the Business Area Director, HR - Precision Strike. This position plays a strategic role in driving organizational success by developing and executing people strategies that align with the business objectives. This role requires a strategic and creative thinker who can partner with business leaders to promote a high-performance culture that inspires employee engagement and drives performance excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Advance talent management maturity through succession planning, talent development, retention, and workforce planning
Ensure competitive compensation and reward practices through annual compensation planning and pay competitiveness analysis
Foster high-performance teams, optimizing organizational design, and promoting culture adoption to drive organizational effectiveness
Provide coaching and guidance to leaders
Analyze data to access organizational health, identifying risks, and driving actions to mitigate them
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6+ years of relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 12+ years of relevant experience is required
Must be willing to travel up to 10%
Experience in an HR Business Partner role supporting an organization with a population of 500+ employees
Experience serving as a coach to senior leaders for their organization on HR matters relating to organizational strategies and business imperatives
Experience working in a matrixed organization
Ability to adapt and lead change, build trusted relationships, and influence
Understanding of HR fundamentals (talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, employee and labor relations, people and culture, organizational change, learning and development, and organization effectiveness)
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
Nice to have:
Experience working for a government defense contractor
Ability to develop and present senior level leaders with data-driven solutions that will effectively advance business strategies and drive change throughout their organizations
