We are looking for a Strategic Finance Manager to join our Finance team. You will be a crucial part of shaping metrics-driven decision making at a rapidly growing startup. Your role will include heavy cross-functional collaboration with executives and visibility into the most important decisions we’re making as a company. This is a hybrid-role (3 days/week in office) based in New York City or San Francisco and reports to the Director of Strategic Finance.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the trusted partner for GTM leadership by delivering actionable insights through forecasting, scenario analysis and business case development
Develop robust financial models to forecast and analyze the performance of our GTM channels, ensuring alignment between financial objectives and sales strategy
Establish and manage key metrics underpinning financial planning, target setting and capital allocation efforts
Prepare data-driven recommendations on resource allocation decisions by developing metrics for measuring investment efficiency and ROI
Collaborate across teams to drive implementation of high priority initiatives and continuously drive process improvements, standardization, simplification, and reporting enhancements
Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed to support the finance team and company's strategic objectives. This may include evaluating potential partnerships, including conducting due diligence and financial analyses
Requirements:
5+ years of experience including strategic finance or FP&A at a fast-paced, scaling company coupled with experience in investment banking, private equity or consulting
Have previous Strat Fin experience, preferably from an infrastructure software company or consumption-based business model
Demonstrated ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights and critically evaluate risks and opportunities
Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives using data
Expert financial modeling skills, including building detailed revenue and operating models
Proven ability to collaborate and establish relationships with business partners
