Job Description:

We are looking for a Strategic Finance Manager to join our Finance team. You will be a crucial part of shaping metrics-driven decision making at a rapidly growing startup. Your role will include heavy cross-functional collaboration with executives and visibility into the most important decisions we’re making as a company. This is a hybrid-role (3 days/week in office) based in New York City or San Francisco and reports to the Director of Strategic Finance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the trusted partner for GTM leadership by delivering actionable insights through forecasting, scenario analysis and business case development
  • Develop robust financial models to forecast and analyze the performance of our GTM channels, ensuring alignment between financial objectives and sales strategy
  • Establish and manage key metrics underpinning financial planning, target setting and capital allocation efforts
  • Prepare data-driven recommendations on resource allocation decisions by developing metrics for measuring investment efficiency and ROI
  • Collaborate across teams to drive implementation of high priority initiatives and continuously drive process improvements, standardization, simplification, and reporting enhancements
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed to support the finance team and company's strategic objectives. This may include evaluating potential partnerships, including conducting due diligence and financial analyses

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience including strategic finance or FP&A at a fast-paced, scaling company coupled with experience in investment banking, private equity or consulting
  • Have previous Strat Fin experience, preferably from an infrastructure software company or consumption-based business model
  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights and critically evaluate risks and opportunities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives using data
  • Expert financial modeling skills, including building detailed revenue and operating models
  • Proven ability to collaborate and establish relationships with business partners
