Job Description

As part of the Strategic Finance team, you will help scale the financial reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities and empower decision-makers across our different businesses and functions. You will play a key role in all financial reporting aspects and significantly contribute to high-profile strategic and operational initiatives. Your work and the insights you create will drive real-time business decisions and help Uber continue to grow, scale, and become more profitable, while also creating more opportunities for the many thousands of couriers, restaurants, and drivers that use our platform daily.

Job Responsibility

  • Financial & Operational Planning: Partner with company leaders to develop financial forecasts and operational goals
  • Partner with the business: To apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision-making related to new initiatives, products, and business opportunities
  • Sophisticated financial modeling: Break complex business problems down into components, and build models from scratch as well as improve existing models
  • Strategic Thinking & Execution Excellence: Partner with your team to execute projects and operationalize our insights
  • Work closely with accounting to provide input on management reporting needs and better understand our actuals
  • Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Economics, MIS, or other relevant subject
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or operations
  • Outstanding analytical skills - standard methodologies are second nature, and your models are efficient, scalable, and intuitive
  • Ability to prioritize - we are consistently working on multiple projects at any given time, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and has the ability to optimally multitask
  • Attention to detail and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in Spanish and advanced proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication and people skills - numbers are key, but a business is built with people

Nice to have

  • Experience building automations, dashboards, or AI-assisted workflows
  • Interest in applying AI to financial planning, forecasting, and operational decision-making
  • Experience with Excel/gsheets, SQL, and/or statistical software package
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools and automation technologies to improve analytical workflows, productivity, and decision-making
