Job Description

Our leading wealth management client is looking for a talented Compensation Business Consultant to join their team! As a Compensation Business Consultant, you will serve as an experienced, sole contributor and strategic advisor to business leaders and internal HR partners within our premier wealth management division. You will consult on complex compensation matters, develop and implement tailored compensation strategies, and provide deep subject-matter expertise ranging from market analysis to plan design.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage business client group relationships, regularly consulting with senior management and HR Business Partners on total compensation issues, design principles, and regulations
  • Provide guidance and develop creative, competitive solutions for base pay, annual incentives, and executive or international compensation structures
  • Consult with business groups on compensation impacts of organizational changes
  • Support and lead annual compensation cycles including market studies, bonus administration, job analysis/pricing, and annual review processes
  • Support Common Role Framework and configure Workday for new international locations
  • Lead compensation-related projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Perform deep-dive analyses on compensation program effectiveness and model impacts
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights using Tableau, Power BI, and Excel
  • Review, develop, and implement compensation tools, programs, and processes
  • Lead development of educational materials and communication strategies for compensation initiatives

Requirements

  • Full knowledge of compensation principles as an experienced individual contributor, ideally within financial services, wealth management, or a similarly complex corporate environment
  • Proven track record of consulting, influencing, and building strong relationships with senior management and internal HR stakeholders
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to perform deep data analysis
  • High proficiency in Advanced Excel
  • Hands-on experience using Tableau, Power BI, or advanced Excel dashboards to present complex research
  • Familiarity with job analysis methodologies, external market benchmarking, and specialized compensation areas

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of Workday Advanced Compensation and advanced Workday reporting
  • Experience navigating the regulatory landscape and unique compensation structures inherent to top-tier wealth management or financial institutions
