Job Description

Narrative seeks a Strategic Communications Manager to join our dynamic team of communications and public affairs professionals. The ideal candidate will serve on several highly integrated, client-facing account teams focused on a wide variety of issue areas, including healthcare, tech, financial services, energy, and more. Responsibilities include multi-faceted research; writing op-eds, press releases, talking points, and strategic memos; pitching reporters and producers; producing creative content and other collateral; while managing client relationships, product workflow, and approval processes. Strong Managers are supportive to more senior teammates, while serving as a leader and resource to Associates and Interns—contributing to Narrative’s collaborative and team-first work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in politics, public affairs, traditional communications, or public relations
  • Exceptional writing, analytical, research, editing, and presentation skills
  • Must excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to combine critical thinking and creativity in formulating strategies
  • Comfortable managing teammates and workflow
  • Working knowledge of Washington, issues management, and policy experience is a plus
