Job Description:

Randstad is partnering with a prominent Federal Government body to recruit an experienced Strategic Communications Advisor to lead high-profile initiatives within a major decommissioning program. This is a pivotal leadership role focusing on a holistic work program, requiring a blend of strategic vision and hands-on delivery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Facilitate a more strategic approach to communication efforts and set direction for work priorities
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify and pursue positive communication outcomes
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder consultation strategies that meet regulatory requirements
  • Create diverse communication materials such as external presentations, fact sheets, and social media content to support engagement
  • Assist with public meetings, one-to-one briefings, and the coordination of public engagement events
  • Develop staff communication skills through knowledge transfer, coaching, and information sharing

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading communications across a program of work and maintaining high-level strategies
  • A stakeholder-focused approach with the ability to work effectively across teams to provide exceptional service
  • Ability to work collaboratively to find creative and fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Familiarity with social media content delivery platforms and analytics tools
  • Experience in coaching, guiding, and developing employees to pursue planned and creative communication activities
  • Baseline clearance required
