As Strategic Commissioner, you will work at the heart of Adult Social Care, turning insight, legislation, lived experience and partnership ambition into practical commissioning plans that deliver real change. You will lead key prevention initiatives, strengthen Slough's carers offer, shape the local care and support market, and ensure services deliver best value while meeting the needs of a diverse and vibrant community. You will develop and deliver commissioning strategies to improve services and outcomes for residents, working with partners, people with lived experience, and our co-production network. You will lead transformation initiatives, including service design, redesign, and decommissioning. Requirements
Confident, creative and values-led commissioning professional
Leadership experience in strategic commissioning activity across Prevention and Carers
Ability to develop high-quality, sustainable and person-centred support
Ability to turn insight, legislation, lived experience and partnership ambition into practical commissioning plans
Experience leading key prevention initiatives
Ability to shape local care and support market
Experience developing and delivering commissioning strategies
Experience leading transformation initiatives including service design, redesign, and decommissioning
Valid right to work in the UK
