Strategic Commissioner Older People

Shape the future of Adult Social Care in Slough. Are you a strategic, collaborative and forward-thinking commissioning professional who wants to make a visible difference to people's lives? Slough Borough Council is looking for a talented Strategic Commissioner to lead an exciting Older People portfolio within Adult Social Care, helping residents to live well, remain independent and access high-quality care and support when they need it. This is a high-impact role at the heart of transformation. You will work with residents, people with lived experience, providers, health partners, voluntary and community organisations, elected Members and council colleagues to develop innovative, sustainable and cost-effective services that deliver better outcomes and best value for Slough. You will lead strategic commissioning activities to improve services and outcomes for residents and their families, working closely with partners, people with lived experience, and our co-production network. The role includes service design, redesign, transformation, and decommissioning where required. You will ensure local and national priorities shape commissioning decisions and lead developments that support prevention, reduce health inequalities, and promote independence across Slough.
