Job Description

As a Principal Client Manager at NTT DATA, you will take full ownership of your assigned client accounts, working tirelessly to retain them and discover new business opportunities. Your expertise will be essential as you manage and grow relationships, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the entire lifecycle of their buying process and driving land, expansion, and renewals across all solutions within your accounts. You'll collaborate closely with internal sales teams, including Sales Specialists and pre-sales architects, to meet client needs and ensure the successful delivery of our solutions. By understanding your clients' industries and business environments, you'll be able to identify current and future opportunities for NTT DATA, building strong, enduring relationships in the process. A significant part of your role includes proactively engaging with clients to identify their needs and articulate how our services and solutions can add value. You'll also work with vendors to achieve desired results and inspire clients to explore additional services, ultimately minimizing churn and maximizing retention. You will become the reliable point of contact for your clients, establishing a strong business relationship. This role requires a substantial amount of time spent on client engagement, engaged selling, and liaising with internal teams to ensure all client needs are addressed and met to their satisfaction. You'll also be responsible for driving the optimization of financial governance and compliance within your specialized area. By monitoring and controlling these aspects, you'll manage financial costs and risks effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Requirements

  • Strong sales business acumen with a focus on planning, leveraging tools and DATA, and understanding company business requirements
  • Knowledge of NTT DATA's offerings, client applications, use cases, and market trends, and the ability to apply them effectively
  • Proven ability to identify and advance opportunities at assigned prospects and clients, creating success through sales pursuit
  • Extensive experience in a global partner management role and in a sales environment
  • Experience in the IT or professional services industry with a focus on business development and sales
  • Proven track record in driving alignment to a common vision and achieving sales growth
  • Proficiency in working with the Salesforce.com contact platform
  • Effective client engagement and management skills, with the ability to build trust and be seen as a trusted advisor
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or a sales-related field
