Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Strategic Investment Specialist for our Strategic Capital team. This role involves working on private capital opportunities, direct lending business, and third-party capital advisory engagements within the commercial banking division.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in identifying new private capital opportunities for direct investing/lending business and third party capital advisory engagements
Analyze new and existing investment opportunities
Prepare investment committee materials and present opportunities to senior management
Work with senior private capital specialists to assess new investment opportunities
Develop investor evaluation materials for capital advisory assignments
Manage investor outreach process logistics
Develop financial models related to assigned new opportunities
Complete due diligence requests, legal entity work, execution/closing processes
Participate in evaluation and ongoing monitoring of investments and loans
Develop internal network contacts across commercial banking footprint and external financial intermediaries
Mentor and train less experienced staff

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in strategic investment management, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years work experience in leveraged finance, capital markets, private capital, private equity, investment banking coverage or equivalent experience
Financial Modeling experience
Financial Analysis experience
Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite-Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and organization, and ability to solve complex or abstract problems
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business or related field

Nice to have:

Familiarity with evaluating and executing transactions related to both the private and traditional institutional markets
