International Insurance & Asset Management Group Team Leadership Role Commercial & Strategic Value Management Our client is an international Financial Services Group focusing on Life Insurance, Wealth & Asset Management, Pension and Health Insurance. With increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place in Asia, the Group is now seeking a high-calibre Commercial & Business Strategy professional to join the Hong Kong Strategy Office.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead a team on the execution and realization of value from enterprise-wide strategic investments, ensuring alignment with overarching business priorities and delivering measurable outcomes
  • Work closely with business units to shape and refine business cases, guide prioritization, support approval processes and track performance
  • Oversee the full life-cycle of strategic initiatives, establishing and maintaining robust governance, frameworks and processes to enable effective and timely decision-making
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership and initiative owners, challenging assumptions and ensuring projects are underpinned by strong rationale and clearly defined value drivers
  • Develop and embed a structured value framework tied to strategic levers, ensuring consistency and alignment across all investment proposals
  • Drive prioritization of the strategic project portfolio by evaluating assumptions, timelines, and expected impact against the overall strategy
  • Monitor portfolio performance through data-driven tools and dashboards, identifying delivery gaps, surfacing insights and supporting both tactical adjustments and longer-term planning
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business, risk and finance functions to strengthen governance, streamline processes, and accelerate investment decisions, particularly for high-impact initiatives
  • Develop and deliver presentations to the management, run periodic SteerCo meetings, support in strategic planning deliverables and timelines for management committees and leadership teams at Local and Group level.

Requirements

  • An university degree preferably with an MBA or Master degree
  • Minimum 10+ years experience in Corporate Strategy, Business Strategy & Transformation, Strategy Consulting gained from the Life Insurance
  • Experience from top-tier Strategy Consulting firms focusing on Insurance sector would also be considered
  • Hong Kong market experience is a MUST
  • A track record in building, leading and delivering strategic initiatives with proven ability to lead a team and run multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in program management, project governance, business case analysis and financial analysis
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English and ideally in Cantonese
