Job Description:

Strategic Business Change Senior Manager role focused on implementing CRDVI (Capital Requirements Directive VI) compliance for HSBC's cross-border banking business in Europe. The role involves managing system enhancements, operational models, and ensuring alignment with Group/Regional requirements to comply with the new EU directive affecting cross-border deposit-taking, lending, and guarantee products to EU clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Gain complete understanding of what business wants to achieve, advise and challenge where appropriate
  • Manage enhancements of systems, processes and operational models to comply with CRDVI directive
  • Define scope and outcomes, drawing up project plans with timescales, resources, and budgets
  • Identify roles and responsibilities, bring various teams together to deliver projects
  • Oversee projects and monitor plans to ensure deadlines are met
  • Engage with key stakeholders and maintain pro-active & open communication channels
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationship with stakeholders and business
  • Track project budgets throughout the lifecycle
  • Prepare and manage RAID and other mandatory governance
  • Liaise with other Project Managers, BA's and programme leadership to identify synergies, challenges and interlocks

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate with minimum 12-15 years of banking experience
  • Minimum 10 years experience as a Project Manager in formal PM roles
  • Strong understanding of Wholesale Banking Business and Products
  • Experience working in regulatory programmes like Brexit, MiFiD will be a plus
  • Strong and proven project management skillsets with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Agile mindset with constant target to deliver more value to customers effectively and efficiently
  • Experience working with global virtual teams across different geographies, culture, and time-zones
  • Strong inter-personal skills, ability to handle conflict and manage expectations

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile methods of Project Management
  • Certified in PMP or Prince2 or equivalent
