Job Description

The Strategic Account Technology Strategist (S-ATS) is responsible for defining, owning, and executing the end-to-end technology strategy for one of Microsoft's largest Strategic Capital Markets customers in the United States. This role operates at the intersection of advanced technology, business strategy and executive engagement, serving as Microsoft's primary technical advisor to C-level executives (CIO, CTO, CDO, CISO, Innovation Leadership). The ATS aligns the customer's business priorities with Microsoft's AI, Copilot, Security, Cloud, and Data capabilities and drives long-term transformation at enterprise scale. The ATS is a core member of the Account Team Unit (ATU) and partners tightly with the Strategic Account Executive to influence strategy, shape pipeline, and orchestrate Microsoft and partner teams across the full customer lifecycle. Our candidate has a deep understanding of Financial Services Industry with a key focus on Payment Processing.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and drive a multi-horizon technology strategy and roadmap aligned to the customer's business outcomes and insurance industry priorities
  • Lead AI, Copilot, and Security strategy discussions, including Customer Secure AI Assessments and roadmap execution
  • Translate complex architectures into clear, outcome-driven executive narratives tied to measurable business value
  • Build deep, trusted relationships with C-level and senior technical and business stakeholders
  • Lead executive briefings, strategic workshops, and roadmap sessions for one of Microsoft's most visible global insurance customers
  • Act as Microsoft's technical point of view on AI transformation, agentic solutions, security, data platforms, and cloud modernization
  • Orchestrate Specialist (STU), Customer Success (CSU), and partner resources across MCEM stages — from envisioning to realization and value optimization
  • Ensure technical alignment across solution areas to remove blockers, accelerate decisions, and drive intentional consumption (MACC)
  • Feed insights and execution learnings back into account planning and long-term strategy
  • Executive trust and strategic positioning with the customer's leadership team. Clear, customer-validated technology roadmaps aligned to AI, Copilot, Security, and Cloud priorities
  • Growth in qualified pipeline and strategic initiatives tied to business outcomes
  • Effective orchestration of Microsoft and partner teams delivering value at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 7+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR equivalent experience
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States that does not now or in the future require employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in enterprise cloud, AI, data platforms, and security architectures
  • Ability to operate credibly with C-level executives in large, complex enterprise environments
  • Ability to demonstrate and showcase the latest Microsoft technologies (e.g., Copilot, AI Foundry, Azure, Security) to senior executives — live demos, prototypes, or architectural walkthroughs as appropriate
  • Storytelling skills: able to turn complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, executive-level narratives that resonate with business leaders. Strong grasp of how technology decisions connect to business outcomes, transformation programs, and industry trends
  • Experience collaborating and orchestration skills across sales, engineering, customer success, and partners.
