Job Description

Microsoft's Federal team is looking to hire a Strategic Account Manager for our US Federal Government Team to lead transformative engagements, drive innovation, and shape the future of the US Federal Government. In this critical role, you will lead the development and application of mature/dynamic customer plans detailing critical insights and new business opportunities aligned to customer priorities.

Job Responsibility

  • Leads and coordinates a diverse and high-performing team on plan execution
  • Orchestrates the execution of strategies for the assigned account to ensure high-volume sales
  • Proactively expands strategic network of key internal and external partners
  • Leads efforts with key internal and external partners in developing account plans
  • Partners with internal industry experts to strengthen knowledge of the industry and competitors
  • Proactively owns a transformative customer stakeholder engagement strategy
  • Proactively develops a strong understanding of customer's business needs
  • Leverages understanding of customer business to drive customer's strategy
  • Earns status as thought leader and trusted advisor to C-level business decision makers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Technology)
  • OR Master's Degree AND 9+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Technology) and/or driving digital transformation
  • OR 13+ years experience in working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Technology) and/or driving digital transformation
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 6+ years experience making recommendations to and/or collaborating with mid-to-senior level executives
  • 8+ years experience closing large, complex agreements/deals
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States that does not now or in the future require employer sponsorship
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions
