Our client is a $70M+ self-performing, commercial flooring solutions provider specializing in concrete refinishing, waterproofing, maintenance and floor coverings. We are seeking an Strategic Account Executive who will call on building owners, property managers, and commercial and retail tenants. This role focuses on existing facilities rather than new construction and general contractor–led projects. The ideal candidate understands consultative selling, including identifying new business opportunities, prospecting and closing, and excels at building long term relationships with decision makers responsible for maintaining occupied buildings.
Job Responsibility:
Identify, pursue, and close owner-direct concrete flooring opportunities
Develop relationships with building owners, property and facility managers, and commercial and industrial tenants
Generate new leads through networking, site visits, referrals, and targeted outreach
Manage a sales pipeline from initial contact through contract execution
Conduct site walks to evaluate existing flooring conditions and identify repair or upgrade needs
Work with operations and estimating teams to develop accurate scopes, budgets, and proposals
Clearly communicate technical flooring solutions
Present proposals and negotiate pricing, schedules, and contract terms
Serve as the primary point of contact for owner-direct clients
Maintain strong post-sale relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term service agreements
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
Provide feedback to management on market trends, pricing, and competitive activity
Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure smooth handoff and customer satisfaction
Support marketing efforts by contributing case studies, testimonials, and client feedback
Requirements:
Proven success selling directly to owners, property managers, or facility managers
Strong consultative sales and relationship-building skills
Comfortable performing site visits in active, occupied buildings
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
Nice to have:
Sales experience in commercial construction, flooring, coatings, roofing, or building services
Experience in concrete flooring, industrial coatings, or related trades
Ability to read basic plans, scopes, and technical specifications (or willingness to learn)
Knowledge of repair, restoration, and maintenance-focused construction work
Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management
Existing relationships with local property managers or owner groups
