Job Description:

Join a fast-paced production environment where you'll play a key role in keeping everything moving. As Stores Team Leader, you'll take charge of the smooth, accurate and safe flow of materials - from goods-in through to final despatch - making sure production has everything it needs, exactly when it's needed. You'll lead day-to-day activity within the bonded stores, supervising a small team and ensuring materials move efficiently through every stage. From stock control and system accuracy to inspection and despatch, you'll make sure processes run safely and to the highest quality standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee all goods-in, storage, kitting and shipment activities
  • Maintain full stock accuracy, updating systems so every item is traceable
  • Lead and motivate your team to achieve daily, weekly and monthly targets
  • Check deliveries against paperwork and carry out visual / dimensional checks
  • Pick, pack and despatch goods to schedule, investigating any stock discrepancies
  • Support final inspection of components and finished products to ISO 9001:2008 standards
  • Oversee safe lifting and handling operations, using correct PPE and equipment
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Quality, Production, the Machine Shop and couriers to keep materials moving

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a warehouse, stock control or stores environment
  • Ideally previous team-leading or supervisory experience
  • Confident IT skills (Excel, Word, email)
  • Strong problem-solving ability, with attention to detail and process discipline
  • Good communication skills and a hands-on leadership style
