The Stores Supervisor – Line Maintenance is responsible for the operational control, compliance and performance of the Line Station Stores function. The role ensures that materials, tooling and equipment are controlled, traceable and available to support aircraft maintenance activities, while maintaining full compliance with Part 145 regulatory requirements and company procedures. The Stores Supervisor leads the day-to-day stores operation, manages personnel and workflow, and ensures timely and accurate goods receipt, inspection, dispatch and stock control in support of aircraft production priorities.
Job Responsibility:
Operational control of the Line Station Stores function
Ensure materials, tooling and equipment are controlled, traceable and available to support aircraft maintenance activities
Maintain compliance with Part 145 regulatory requirements and company procedures
Lead day-to-day stores operation
Manage personnel and workflow
Ensure timely and accurate goods receipt, inspection, dispatch and stock control
Manage daily operation ensuring efficient workflow and material availability
Ensure goods receipt, inspection, booking and dispatch are completed within agreed service levels
Prioritise material movements in alignment with aircraft production requirements
Maintain effective communication with Line Station Management and Production teams
Ensure compliance with UK CAA / EASA Part 145 material control requirements
Maintain appropriate storage conditions for materials
Ensure full traceability and documentation control of all parts
Manage Dangerous Goods handling and shipping
Support internal and external audits
Monitor stock levels
Oversee tool control, calibration and ground support equipment tracking
Monitor shelf-life control and preservation requirements
Escalate stock discrepancies
Manage and supervise Stores and production procurement staff
Ensure appropriate training, competence and regulatory awareness
Promote a safety-first and compliance-driven culture
Support performance management
Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, stock accuracy and material availability
Contribute to procedure updates
Implement structured prioritisation frameworks
Ensure adherence to Health & Safety requirements
Promote safety reporting and hazard identification
Ensure compliance with Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS)
Provide regular updates to Station Manager and Supply Chain Manager
Escalate AOG material risks or compliance concerns
Maintain effective liaison with Logistics, Procurement and Engineering teams
Undertake any additional duties reasonably required
Requirements:
Secondary school level
further logistics or aviation compliance training desirable
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an aircraft maintenance or airline environment
or Minimum 5 years’ experience in a regulated stores/logistics environment
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Ability to manage operational workload under pressure
Leadership and team management capability
High attention to detail and compliance awareness
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant ERP systems
Ability to influence and collaborate with operational stakeholders
