Job Responsibility:
Inspect and verify accuracy (quantity, quality and specifications) of incoming goods against invoices or other documents and Purchase Orders.
Record temperatures, shortages and reject damaged or poor-quality goods. Receive all goods delivered.
Oversee loading and unloading of goods and maintain a neat and organized receiving area that allows for the safe handling and efficient transfer of goods to hotel operations.
Keep detailed internal, manual and computerized record-keeping systems
Communicate with suppliers and departments to ensure smooth flow of receiving
Maintains a close working relationship with the stores, purchasing and accounting offices and all other departments.
Ensure hotel and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Process and record all incoming and outgoing packages both for internal departments and external guests
Maintains a high level of professionalism in all aspects of job performance
Operate pallet jack or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 year recent experience as a Full Cycle Receiver or Accounts Payable clerk
Food Safe Certificate
Ability to multi task within strict deadlines while displaying attention to detail
Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and commitment
Demonstrate knowledge and commitment of safe (OH&S and HACCP) working procedures
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills
Fluent in in Excel, e-mail and accounting/receiving systems. Previous knowledge of Birchstreet platform an advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary to interact with suppliers and internal departments
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, move and operate equipment like pallet jack.
