Job Description

The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and managing inventory within the storeroom. Your attention to detail ensures accurate stock control, timely distribution of supplies, and a smooth flow of materials that support all operational departments.

Job Responsibility

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Store items in designated locations, maintaining proper organization, cleanliness, and accessibility
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts to reconcile stock levels and identify discrepancies
  • Issue supplies and equipment to authorized personnel and departments with proper documentation
  • Accurately enter requisitions into the inventory management software
  • Implement FIFO and FEFO rotation systems to ensure efficient stock usage and prevent spoilage or damage
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
  • Receive and process returned items, inspecting condition and updating records
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom environment, reporting maintenance issues as needed
  • Prepare inventory reports, including usage, shortages, and adjustments
  • Work professionally and harmoniously with coworkers and supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in inventory management or warehouse operations preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Valid forklift operator's license preferred
