The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and managing inventory within the storeroom. Your attention to detail ensures accurate stock control, timely distribution of supplies, and a smooth flow of materials that support all operational departments.
Job Responsibility:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and quality
Store items in designated locations, maintaining proper organization, cleanliness, and accessibility
Conduct regular physical inventory counts to reconcile stock levels and identify discrepancies
Issue supplies and equipment to authorized personnel and departments with proper documentation
Accurately enter requisitions into the inventory management software
Implement FIFO and FEFO rotation systems to ensure efficient stock usage and prevent spoilage or damage
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
Receive and process returned items, inspecting condition and updating records
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom environment, reporting maintenance issues as needed
Prepare inventory reports, including usage, shortages, and adjustments
Work professionally and harmoniously with coworkers and supervisor
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in inventory management or warehouse operations preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to lift and move heavy objects
Valid forklift operator's license preferred
