Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Storeperson based in South Australia on a fixed term contract and 2/2 roster. This presents an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing and expanding team, allowing you to progress to the next phase of your career.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and deliver materials to underground work fronts as per project schedules
  • Verify incoming goods against procurement lists, ensuring correct quantity and specifications
  • Inspect materials for damage and compliance with BHP Olympic Dam standards
  • Organize and store materials efficiently, maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Track stock levels, conduct audits, and initiate reordering as needed
  • Work with Project Engineers and Paste Crews to ensure availability of critical spare parts
  • Utilize HSEC tools, including hazard identification and field leadership initiatives
  • Ensure timely distribution to prevent installation delays
  • Follow proper handling and transport procedures as per site requirements
  • Adhere to company and client policies, site safety standards, and handling protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and coordinate effectively with teams

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar capacity in the mining industry
  • Current and valid Manual Driver's License and High Risk Forklift License
  • Underground driving experience is essential
  • MR, HR License or relevant onsite driving experience
  • National Police Clearance is required prior to background checks commencing
  • Strong verbal communication skills and proficiency in computer applications
  • High attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and problem solve
  • Non-smoking and clean shaven site

Nice to have:

  • Experience with MS Suite is desirable
  • Previous experience with Pronto, inventory and costing systems is desired
