Job Description

Engage and advise our shareholders, connect with your community and grow at Farmlands with this amazing opportunity at our Waipukurau store! We have an exciting opportunity for a Storeperson to join the team at our Waipukurau branch. This role has a focus on deliveries and the unloading/loading of stock. The back store operation is vital to our performance, so it is critical we get the right candidate who has a strong work ethic and thrives working in an environment that is fun while being fast-paced and demanding.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintaining paperwork and inventory accuracy — including stock integrity, precise counting, and diligent stock management to ensure our records are always reliable
  • Providing superior service to our customers and freight companies
  • Operating a mobile point of sale (POS) system
  • Completing administrative tasks such as maintaining and receipting of stock
  • Restocking and organising our product in the bulk store and stockroom
  • Compliance of health and safety regulations within a transport and stockroom environment

Requirements

  • Highly organised and accuracy-focused, with a keen eye for detail and strong stock management skills
  • Previous experience working in a storeroom, either within a retail or warehouse environment using a forklift
  • An F endorsement
  • You're physically fit (able to lift 25kg consecutively)
  • Sound computer skills
  • Friendly and approachable with great communication skills
  • You work well in a team
  • Confident at multitasking and able to remain calm under pressure
