Job Description

Morson Edge is recruiting for an experienced Storeman / Materials Controller to join a major construction project at Manchester Metropolitan University. Working closely with the site management team, you will be responsible for the control and distribution of materials, tools, plant and equipment, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the site stores.

Job Responsibility

Receiving, checking and recording deliveries
Organising and maintaining the site stores area
Issuing materials, tools, equipment and PPE to site personnel
Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
Maintaining accurate records of materials and equipment movements
Carrying out regular stock checks and inventory audits
Operating forklift and telehandler equipment when required
Liaising with site management, suppliers and subcontractors
Assisting with site logistics and material distribution
Ensuring the stores area remains clean, organised and secure
Following all site health and safety procedures

Requirements

Valid CSCS Card
Valid Forklift Licence - preferred
Valid Telehandler Licence — preferred
Previous experience working as a Storeman, Materials Controller, Stores Controller or similar within construction
Good understanding of construction materials and site logistics
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a busy site team
