Job Description

The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking an organized Storekeeper I to join the Physical Services team within the Office of Administration. This individual assist in the daily operation of the Agency’s warehouse, storeroom, and mailroom.

Job Responsibility

  • Assists in the operation of the Department of Public Health’s Warehouse, Storeroom and mailroom.
  • Ships and inventories materials associated with the various programs administered by the Department.
  • Travels to pick up and/or deliver mail and various items at IDPH locations and Post Office for designated sources within the Agency.
  • Completes periodic inventories of commodities.
  • Utilizes the Inventory Tracking System.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school.
  • Requires one (1) year experience in the keeping of stores and store's records.
  • Requires the ability to travel in the performance of duties.
  • Requires appropriate, valid Illinois driver's license.
