The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking an organized Storekeeper I to join the Physical Services team within the Office of Administration. This individual assist in the daily operation of the Agency's warehouse, storeroom, and mailroom. We welcome all detail-oriented, self-motivated individuals to apply for this fast-paced position.
Job Responsibility
Under general supervision, assists in the operation of the Department of Public Health's Warehouse, Storeroom and mailroom operations
Ships and inventories materials associated with the various programs administered by the Department
Travels to pick up and/or deliver storeroom materials and mail at IDPH locations and Post Office for designated sources within the Agency
Completes periodic inventories of commodities
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Requirements
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school
Requires one (1) year of experience in the keeping of stores and stores records
Requires appropriate, valid driver's license
Requires the ability to travel in the performance of duties
