Storekeeper I

• Performs storekeeping duties involving the receipt, storage and distribution of commodities, property, mechanical and office supplies
• Checks quantity and quality of items received
• Issues commodities and supplies
• Monitors stock flow and estimates stock needs
• Takes and maintains inventory
• Moves and tags equipment, furniture, etc.
• Assists with property control inventories

• Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years high school
• Requires one (1) year experience in the keeping of stores and stores records
• Requires the ability to perform arduous labor lifting and carrying 50-75lbs with assistance
• Requires the ability to use dollies and flatbeds
• Requires the ability to push and pull heavy items
• Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers
• Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check
• Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law
