Job Responsibility:

  • Assists in the merchandising functions of the Gallery Shop/Art Lending Services, including responsibility for inventory, accounting functions and office procedures
  • Orders and maintains an inventory of merchandise
  • Ensures accuracy of quantities and quality of merchandise
  • Establishes a supply storage inventory
  • Supervises and schedules student and part-time workers
  • Maintains time sheets and related records
  • Schedules volunteer coordinators and ensure adequate coverage of attendants at admissions machine
  • Develops and maintains volunteer training manual and participates in the training of volunteers
  • Authorizes payment of approved invoices to vendors and artists through the University Accounting Department
  • As required, prepares timely and accurate reports and maintains necessary records
  • Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with members of the Gallery staff, other University personnel and the general public
  • Other duties as assigned
