Job Responsibility:
Assists in the merchandising functions of the Gallery Shop/Art Lending Services, including responsibility for inventory, accounting functions and office procedures
Orders and maintains an inventory of merchandise
Ensures accuracy of quantities and quality of merchandise
Establishes a supply storage inventory
Supervises and schedules student and part-time workers
Maintains time sheets and related records
Schedules volunteer coordinators and ensure adequate coverage of attendants at admissions machine
Develops and maintains volunteer training manual and participates in the training of volunteers
Authorizes payment of approved invoices to vendors and artists through the University Accounting Department
As required, prepares timely and accurate reports and maintains necessary records
Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with members of the Gallery staff, other University personnel and the general public
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
