Job Description

Design Leader for original concept design and construction built out of 7-Eleven Stores & Restaurants.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for the creation of designs and implementation of floor plans and 7-Eleven Store Standards with a strong focus on creating appropriate guest experiences and efficient operational execution by Store and Restaurant Type
  • Aid in the transition of the concept/prototype design standards to the core business for implementation, developing guidelines for A&E firms, designers, construction CM's, and RE reps
  • Provide ongoing leadership to core organization to ensure store and restaurant design concepts and guest experiences continuously evolve and address the changing needs and priorities of the business
  • Develop, manage, and drive execution of a comprehensive design roadmap by business unit to align with strategic objectives and operational goals
  • Verify store and restaurant floor plans for assigned projects or where designated on location against construction of store verses approved floor plan. Analyze variation, address discrepancies, and report findings

Requirements

  • Bachelors/4 Yr Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • College Degree/Certification in Retail Merchandising, Store or Food Service Design, Merchandising or Construction or experience equivalent
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a strategic mindset
  • Extensive experience working in retail or restaurant design, superior analytical capability with the ability to understand implications, and develop and defend a point of view
  • Strong written and verbal communications, including the ability to create presentations for senior leadership
  • Comfort partnering with and communicating cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Power Point, AutoCAD and Revit necessary to perform position requirements
