Job Description

GrainCorp Feeds is a national animal feed business, based in Hamilton NZ, dealing directly with corporate and farming customers across New Zealand. GrainCorp Feeds offers a comprehensive range of high-quality liquid and dry dairy and calf feeds suitable for a variety of feeding systems and developed to improve on-farm production, reproduction, performance and profitability. Based at our Waharoa site, we are seeking a Store Operator to join our small, but close-knit team. This is a full-time position where your core hours of work will be between 6am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. During August through to February we work extended hours to support our customers. These hours are rostered - flexibility with working hours is a requirement during this period.

Job Responsibility

  • Bagging and pallet stacking
  • Moving / loading palletised stock

Requirements

  • Current forklift licence with F and W endorsement
  • Experience working in a warehousing / logistics role
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously
  • Capable of lifting up to 20kg in weight
  • Solid understanding of safety standards

  • Pick up customer returns, i.e., new, warranty, cores, etc. and fill out driver return slip
  • Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to store manager immediately
  • Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of day's business
  • Clock in/out according to company policy
  • Other additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, etc.
