We are a small but mighty team serving coffee from our stores in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg and soon in Cologne as we rapidly expand across Germany. We're looking for a Store Manager in Cologne to work directly with our leadership team and support our launch in the city. As a Store Manager at LAP Coffee, you will be instrumental in the success of our brand in the city, where we aim to become our customers' everyday coffee place. Job Responsibility

  • You'll be responsible for the launch of our first store in Cologne
  • Oversee store operations, including staffing, sales, P&L, and customer satisfaction
  • When necessary, you will go behind the counter and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service while driving business growth and profitability
  • Team Leadership: Ensure baristas are working towards achieving company goals and standards while upholding and creating a great culture
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain elite operating standards across all locations under your management
  • Community Engagement: Build meaningful relationships with neighborhood businesses and residents to foster local brand loyalty and goodwill
  • Team Scheduling: Oversee and manage team schedules to ensure punctuality and operational readiness
  • Training Adherence: Master and apply product, service, and brand training playbooks to maintain consistency and quality
  • Product Quality Management: Ensure proper measures are in place to handle products correctly, preserving their freshness and quality in both food and beverage offerings
  • Waste Reduction: Implement and sustain systems to minimize product wastage by monitoring and adjusting par levels in line with business fluctuations
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain health and safety standards at all times, ensuring a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of leadership experience in hospitality or retail (Shift-Lead, Head Barista, Junior Manager, F&B Manager), with a strong track record in team scaling, inventory, and supply chain management
  • Entrepreneurial, solution-focused, and adaptable to fast-paced, start-up environments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills under pressure
  • Proven ability to spot growth opportunities, test ideas, and execute within tight budgets
  • Willing to travel occasionally for new opportunities
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Performance Tracking: Accurately track and report daily KPIs, inventory counts, and commissary supply transfers for locations under your management
  • Customer Growth Strategies: Collaborate with our Brand and Marketing team to create and execute strategies for growing a loyal customer base
  • Financial Management: Take ownership of the P&L for each store under your management, identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative solutions to enhance performance
  • Team Development: Support and cultivate a cohesive team of baristas, inspiring them to grow into future General Managers
